Launch Party: Cooking Class Global Feast!

This weekend, we celebrated the launch of Cooking Class Global Feast! at the new children’s bookstore High Five Books in Florence, MA. All the models from the book received signed copies and it was wonderful to watch their expressions when they discovered their pictures in the book. The kids had been photographed almost a year ago in my kitchen by Carl Tremblay. They learned a new recipe, and made each step in front of the camera, plus saw how a cookbook is put together. Many of the children shared stories of their family food culture that we included throughout the book.
At the book party, we set up fruits and snacks from around the world for the kids to taste test, from Dragon Fruit to Rambutan to Pomegranate.
One of the parents said, “This book is amazing! We are so excited for these recipes and they look so easy to follow. This means a lot to my son’s Greek and Indian grandparents to see him in print and representing his heritage. Thank you so much for this gift and congratulations!”
